We have come such a long way to reach this point, where there have definitely been both challenging and rewarding aspects of this project. Throughout this semester of researching and interviewing different users, we learned how to format the CAB framework and what different parts and information we should include. One challenge we faced was keeping in mind that we are designing this CAB framework not just for potential CAB members, but also for less involved users in Houston. This made us rethink certain aspects, such as the demographics we are targeting and the responsibilities of CAB members. One of the most rewarding experiences was when we were able to attend an AAH event in person, where we met people passionate about advocating for better air policies. It was truly inspiring to witness this and it helped us better understand how we are contributing by creating this CAB framework. Some next steps that we are looking forward to carrying out is to translating the framework to make it more accessible to non-English speakers. Another idea is to expand to Houston Youth to get the younger generation to continue advocating for environmental justice.
