We are Team Restoring Justice. Restoring Justice is a local non-profit organization that works on addressing mass incarceration and assisting previously incarcerated individuals with accessing economic resources. Each one of us is passionate about this cause, and two of our introductions are below!
Olivia: Hi everyone! I’m Olivia, and I’m a sophomore at Sid Richardson college studying Business and Economics. I was really interested in working with Restoring Justice because of their goals to fight mass incarceration through both legal and community centered methods. Looking at their holistic approach, I wanted to see how we could better engage the Houston community.
Alex: I’m Alex, and I’m a sophomore at Jones majoring in psychology. I am passionate about equitable, community-centered storytelling as well as racial justice and public health. Combating the fear narrative for those accused of crimes and dismantling mass incarceration is absolutely critical, and I appreciate how Restoring Justice supports their clients through both legal and holistic approaches.
