The DFA ADDA Team is committed to applying design thinking in order to mitigate the pressing increase of ADHD in adults. Our team consists of 3 innovative designers: LeeAnn Feng, a freshman majoring in cognitive science at Baker College; Freya Zhang, a sophomore studying computer science and cognitive science at McMurtry College; and Anna Nguyen, a sophomore majoring in computer science at McMurtry College.
We find the problem space of our project crucial due to its profound impact on individuals’ emotional, social, and educational well-being. From the staggering dropout rates among students with ADHD to the pervasive stigma surrounding the disorder, the need for innovative solutions is clear. Through our project, we aim to address specific aspects such as educational effects, stigma, diagnosing challenges, and the necessity for lifestyle changes. By understanding and tackling these complexities, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of ADHD adults.
